A few weeks ago I was on a hunt for a good night cream which can match the overnight AC in my room and not leave my skin like a desert in the morning. I ordered this cream from Roseroseshop. They have this free shipping on their Mizon products and it was cheaper than my favorite shop Jolse. I haven't found much reviews about this cream online, maybe only about 2-3 reviews, but it said "milk" so I was intrigued. I knew milk products were good for your skin, so I think this is a cheaper alternative than bathing myself in it lol.. :)
Actually, as per the description online it said goat's milk! Okay.... I'm feeling adventurous now, and it was from Mizon (I super duper loooove their snail repair gel cream!) so I guess it was safe to try.. By now I'm applying at least five different products on my face for my nighttime routine and I'm so glad I rarely have breakouts when using new products.. ^_^
The container for this cream is simple, a transparent sturdy plastic etched with bubbles much like the design printed on the box. The box contains a short description and the ingredient list, both in Korean and English. It has the Mizon holographic sticker for authenticity. You can read a short description of the cream here and here. I was actually surprised by the ingredients: Goat colostrum, milk proteins, niacinamide, and antarctic iceberg anyone??
There is a plastic separator on the opening but I removed it so you can see the off-white cream properly. No spatula on this one too :(.. The consistency is like a jelly-pudding dessert, but once spread it becomes very creamy. I don't really like the scent of this, it smells of generic grocery/drugstore creams. I imagined that it will smell of fresh milk (wishful thinking lol..). I thought that the scent will go away after a few minutes but I was surprised that I can still smell it an hour after application! Those sensitive to smell might be put off by this. I really wished it was scent-free like their snail repair gel cream.
Please excuse my hand lol... I don't know if you can see on the second picture but there is definitely a residue there after application. Actually after 30 minutes the residue was still there! It definitely doesn't absorb fast enough like it claims to do.
This cream claims to give smoothness, elasticity, and brightness to the skin. When I wake up in the morning my skin is really very soft and that icky residue on my face is gone. I was afraid that I would wake up with a greasy face but I just wake up with baby butt smooth skin lol! My skin did brighten up, but only a bit and my skintone improved slightly after a few weeks of using it everyday at night. But.... that's about it. No dramatic results, just smooth skin in the morning and the fact that my dull skin improved veeeeerrrry slightly.
It will probably take me a long time to finish this cream (it has 90 ml on it) because it is too rich for me and a little goes a long way plus I don't have another night cream to replace this. It might benefit those with dry skin as it is super moisturising but those with oily skin might want to avoid it. It does its job in keeping my face moisturized at night with the AC on so i will continue using this until I find a better sleeping pack. But sorry Mizon no repurchase on this cream for me.. ^.^
You can purchase this cream from Roseroseshop for 12.43 USD and from Jolse for 17.98 USD.
Until next time!
